RapidRide J Line: Final Design
Project Overview
Forman Consulting Services serves as the Project Manager for the final design contract for RapidRide J Line. This local, state, and FTA federally-funded $150M project provides high-quality bus rapid transit service for 5.5 miles, connecting Downtown Seattle with South Lake Union, Eastlake, and the neighborhoods of the University District. In addition to installing 22 BRT stations, 2.3 miles of new transit lanes, and RapidRide 2.0 Kit of Parts amenities, the project also includes many upgrades to City of Seattle infrastructure: repaving of 3.5 miles of urban streets, the installation of protected bike lanes, 1.5 miles of new watermain, 140 new curb ramps, upgrades to 26 signals, and 0.8 miles of new trolley wire (OCS) infrastructure.
