NE 153rd Place – Safe Routes to School

Stephanie served as the project manager and design manager for the NE 153rd Safe Routes to School project, which created safe passage for students and is key to the City of Kenmore’s Target Zero goal of achieving zero pedestrian and bicyclist fatalities and injuries by 2025. This project constructs a missing link of sidewalk leading from a residential community to Arrowhead Elementary School and Bastyr University. Once connected with the Juanita Drive NE corridor, it will link the neighborhood to a full complete-streets facility of non-motorized connections to the waterfront, key regional destinations, universities, neighborhoods, and commercial areas.
